All the info on how to get to the Britannia Stadium, park and enjoy your day

[Last updated 07/08/2009]

By Road: North/South/West: M6 to J15. Take the A500 to Stoke-on-Trent then the A50 to Derby/Uttoxeter Once on the A50, keep in the left hand lane and take the first exit following the signs for 'Britannia Stadium'.
East: A50 from M1 all the way to Stoke-on-Trent. The Stadium is on the left, just before the junction with the A500.
Access to the South and Trent car parks is also available from Trentham. Take the Longton Road exit from the roundabout at Trentham Gardens on the A34 and after travelling east for around 2 miles (looking out for the two speed cameras along this road!), turn left at the first set of traffic lights into Stanley Matthews Way.
If you're really stuck, type in 'ST4 4EG' into you're sat-nav and you should be fine, provided that it doesn't lead you up a field somewhere.

By Foot: Pedestrians can walk to the Britannia Stadium on a match day from Stoke using existing footpaths along the bridge over the A500, which lead to the incinerator access road, to link up with the footway/cycleway (and the bridge over the canal and railway line) to the stadium.
Pedestrians can also link up with the footpath from the towpath which runs along the Trent and Mersey canal. Supporters can walk from Heron Cross (Grove Road) and Hollybush (Highfield Drive) to the stadium, along a footway/cycleway, but pedestrians coming from Heron Cross should be aware that they must cross the A50 at Heron Cross using the footbridge as a 1.8m high fence prevents crossing the road any further down. There is NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS along the busy A500 or A50 roads. Finally, pedestrians can walk to the stadium along Stanley Matthews Way running up from Trentham Road (A5035).

Car Parking: Official Club car parking is available on the South car park if you buy a ticket prior to match day or you can pay on the gate at the adjacent Trent car park (2009/10 season: 5) on Stanley Matthews Way.
Other nearby parking is available at the Holiday Inn, Harvester pub or Power League but these fill up early. There is also parking provided by several local businesses such as ScrewFix and Pets At Home who have car parks along Stanley Matthews Way. Prices vary up to 5.

Be careful if parking in the neighbouring residential areas - a number have 'residents only' parking on match days and the traffic wardens are very active.

Food and drink: Away supporters should exercise caution in Stoke, Hanley or Longton town centres, but the Harvester or Power League bars close to the ground should be ok for visiting fans.
Other than the usual facilities inside the ground (away fans are located in one half of the South Stand), there is usually a reasonable burger van situated just near the South Stand and the club shop.
