Stoke seek to bounce back

The Potters travel to South Wales in a bid to reverse the 3-0 thumping that they endured in the game in September at the Britannia Stadium

Vital Quotes:

Cardiff City Team News:

Cardiff hope to have striker Steven Thompson available again after he had surgery on his finger after an accident at his home. He should partner top scorer, Cameron Jerome. Jason Koumas is suspended.

Player to watch: Cameron Jerome

Stoke City Team News:

Sam Bangoura looks like he will be missing from the squad after not returning from Guinea in time. Dave Brammer may be rested for one more game as he recovers from a groin injury, which will allow loan signing Josip Skoko to make his debut for the club in midfield. Paul Gallagher looks certain to be absent having injured his knee in the last game against Preston. This leaves Hannes Sigurdsson and Mama Sidibe to head up the front line. Darel Russell misses his first game for his sending off last week but Clint Hill could start his first game of the season after recovering from injury.

Player to watch: Clint Hill

Great to see Stoke's Player of the Season last term back in the side.

Match Facts & Stats

Ninian Park has been a relatively happy hunting ground in recent years as Stoke have won four of their last six visits to the Welsh capital and Stoke fans will not forget their play-off semi final victory in the 2001/02 season.

Next Fixtures:

Tuesday 14th February: Plymouth Argyle (HOME) 7.45pm kick-off. Tony Pulis returns to the Brit for the first time since his sacking last year.
