The Potters will be looking to bounce back quickly after Saturday's disappointing defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday and face a trip to London and to a Palace team with new manager, Neil Warnock relishing his first home game at his new club.
Although it was only Stoke's second defeat of the season, the manner of the defeat - too late goals from a poor side has hurt badly. Ricardo Fuller told the official site after the match that Palace will hopefully suffer the backlash: ''We don't lose many games so this is a bit of a shock to the system, but rest assured we will be going to London for all three points. We have done well this season and we don't want to let it slip so we will be very focused.
Even though he was architect of the Potters' two goals, he paid tribute to the team spirit: 'If we lose we all lose and if we win we all win, like I say it's about all eleven guys out there.'
Palace's start to the season has already seen Peter Taylor depart and the arrival of former Blades' die-hard manager, Neil Warnock. Warnock and his team will be looking to impress the fans in his first home game after drawing 1-1 at Blackpool on Saturday.
Midfielder, Tim Soares is suspended after being sent off at the end of Saturday's game and Dougie Freedman could be dropped as Warnock shuffles the pack.
The former Coventry and Leicester striker has been a consistent performer this season with four goals to his name.
Richard Cresswell will play after his one match ban is not due to start until Saturday. Vincent Pericard is still behind bars and likely to also miss out as Mama Sidibe is still not fit. This is likely to hand another start to Jon Parkin alongside Ricardo Fuller in attack and will allow Saturday's starting eleven to make amends for a poor showing.
Parkin needs a better performance than on Saturday if he wants to try and dislodge Mama Sidibe from his forward role alongside Fuller.
The Potters did the double over Palace last season with a 1-0 win, courtesy of Darel Russell, in London followed by 2-1 win back at the Brit last April.
