Pulis ready for battle

The Potters make their longest journey of the season with a trip to the South West and Plymouth on Saturday. Argyle have consolidated their position in the Championship this season under new manager, Ian Holloway and have won three matches in the league this year (including a decent on-going FA Cup run which saw them beat Derby the other week), only losing twice in that time and now sit just below the Potters in 12th position.

Vital Quotes:

Argyle fans are preparing a 'warm' reception for their former manager, but Tony Pulis is too much of the old soldier for such minor problems to worry him: 'I'll have my tin hat on down there', he said before travelling down to a West Country hotel on Thursday night. 'I know that there will be supporters there wanting to give me a bit of stick, but I'm old enough to handle that'.

Plymouth Team News:

Lilian Nalis is suspended and striker Barry Hayles may miss the match while recovering from a broken toe. Previous Potters' target, Tony Capaldi is back as is Hasney Aljofree after both have recovered from injury.

Player to watch: Scott Sinclair

With top goal scorer, Barry Hayles likely to miss the match through injury, the Potters will need to keep an eye on Scott Sinclair. The 18 year old striker, on loan from Chelsea, has already scored three goals in eight appearances.

Stoke City Team News:

With Jonathan Fortune recalled to Charlton, TP will give Fulham youngster, Gabriel Zakuani his second start after impressing in the match against Derby.

Player to watch: Lee Hendrie

If Lee is on form then you can be sure that the rest of the team will be as well. If not......

Match Facts & Stats

TP won the same match last season at Home Park 2-1, but for his old club. let's hope he can repeat the score in the Potters' favour this time.
