'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Stoke City vs. Everton

Britannia Stadium

1st May 2010

3pm

Stand by for some action - we hope!

Whilst the Potters didn't provide any action on the pitch last week but plenty off it then we need those roles to be reversed for the visit of Everton in the final home match of the season.

It's a full house and the players should know by now what's expected of them...

Vital Quotes:

Stoke's assistant manager, Peter Reid has echoed what all fans have been saying in the build up to the match:

'What we must do is bounce back and make sure we send the supporters home happy after our final home match of the season.

Stoke City Team News:

With both Dave Kitson and Tuncay unlikely to be flavour of the week with the boss, it could be that Pulis is forced to turn to Mamady Sidibe. Big Mama has not impressed fans this season since recovering from a long injury layoff, but at least he stays to support the rest of the team when he's subbed. But the gaffer's options are limited up front with Ricardo Fuller an injury doubt and so we may yet see Kitson or Tuncay starting alongside the Mali international.

Skipper, Abdoulaye Faye is back in the squad despite limping off after only eight minutes last week.

Player to watch: Asmir Begovic

Asmir will make his home debut after Thomas Sorensen dislocated his elbow at Stamford Bridge.

Everton Team News:

After a dreadful start to the season, the Toffees are in full flow and desperate to capture that final Europa League spot from under the noses of their near neighbours in Liverpool so don't be under any illusion that the visitors have nothing to play for.

But they continue to be without the injured trio of John Heitinga, Dan Gosling and Marouane Fellaini. Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman could also miss out for the second successive week.

Player to watch: Louis Saha

The former Red Devil has been in fine form this season with 15 goals in all competitions.

Match Facts & Stats

Ref Watch:

Howard Webb. He's supposedly the best there is, but we'll wait and judge him after the match.
