Stoke vs Ipswich preview

Stoke will want to hang on to top spot by claiming another three points at the Brit tomorrow, but Ipswich are also gunning for promotion and tomorrow's clash will should be an enthralling encounter with a crowd of around 23,000 expected.

Vital Quotes:

Pulis is wary of the Tractor Boys' recent improved away form: 'Their away form has picked up. I think Jim has done an outstanding job there. He had a little bit of difficulty last season sorting all out but they've done fantastically well and they'll fancy their chances.'

But he says that another good turn-out from fans will be a big boost: 'We've got to make it daunting and make sure we play to the level that we can play to, and create the atmosphere and the noise that we've created in the last two home games.'

Stoke City Team News:

Danny Pugh will sit out a one match ban, which may allow Gaby Zakuani or Andy Wilkinson a start. It's unclear yet whether Pulis will choose to drop Simonsen in favour of new loan signing, Marton Fulop.

Player to watch: Liam Lawrence

Fresh from being named the top Championship player in the Football League's weekly Actim index, his two goals last Friday against Scunthorpe boosted his season's tally to twelve.

Ipswich Town Team News:

Jim Magilton is able to choose from a full squad as the Tractor Boy's look to continue their improved away form.
