Pulis: I'm not going anywhere!

Tony Pulis has firmly rebuffed any rumours of his impending departure to be Southampton's new manager.

Since Pulis lives not far from Southampton, the media had linked him with the vacant post at St. Mary's, but he has firmly scotched any talk of a move.

'Two points off an automatic promotion spot, do you think I'll leave?!', he told the press after the Potters' 4-2 win over Wolves yesterday.

With the Saints' not challenging for even a play-off spot at the moment, it always seemed to be one of the wilder stories to have done the rounds in recent weeks.

The vast majority of Stoke fans now appear to be fully behind the Coates/Pulis partnership. In my view, any so-called fans who wants either out must have a very twisted idea of what they want for our club. Indeed, callers to Radio Stoke at the weekend were putting the so-called 'Pulis haters' down to rival Vale fans calling the radio station. If that's the case, then all I can do is wish those Vale fans a good time in League 2 next season - their next step after that is non-league football.

Good - you see Holloyway go to Leicester and it's not done anything for him. He should get Stoke to play-offs this term, no problem!

Having had a stint at Pompey why the hell should TP swap a good job at Stoke for a dire one at the scummers.
