Stoke's BOGOF deal

Stoke's BOGOF deal

Stoke City have come up with a novel way of getting fans to pack into the Brit with a 'buy one, get one free' deal for the two home games next week.

Anyone that buys a ticket for next Tuesday's home match against Southampton will be able to claim another one free for the match at the Brit on Friday night against Scunthorpe.

This is a great deal for fans and, even though it's not of much benefit to me as I'm a season ticket holder, I must congratulate the club for making the offer.

People regularly talk about the club's 'large fan base', but I believe that to be a myth, long gone with the club's 23 years out of the top flight of English football. The Potters need to build support amongst the young and coax back those absent supporters. This season's good run along with the FA Cup tie against Newcastle has rekindled enthusiasm in the Potters - we now need that to be turned into regular fans coming through the turnstiles.

Come on - let's see you all down the Brit next week!
