'If It's Football, It's Vital'

As predicted, Sam is not yet back

I hate to say I told you so! But, as predicted on this website at the start of the week, Sam Bangoura has not yet returned to training at the Britannia.

Stoke City have issued an official statement saying that his absence is inexcusable and they will be looking for an explanation.

For the background to this see the article I wrote at the start of the week but you will realise that I'm not surprised. It is rumoured that it took him several weeks to return 2 years ago after his last trip to the African Cup when playing for Standard Leige in Belgium.

This sort of unprofessional attitude is not acceptable, but if he is your star striker what can you do other than fine him without cutting off your nose to spite your face?
