Danny signs for Stoke

Danny Pugh has signed a three and a half year contract with Stoke City.

Pugh joined on loan in November from Preston North End, but both clubs agreed at the time that he would join the Potters in January and he has today completed the planned 500,000 switch from Deepdale to the Brit.

A similar deal was struck with Crystal Palace at the same time for defender, Leon Cort. That deal, rumoured to be in excess of 1m, is yet to be finalised. Both players have already proved their worth and it's hopefully the first part of a larger jigsaw as the Potters strive to strengthen the squad for a big push for the Premier League this season.
