Wilko offered new Potters contract
Andy Wilkinson has been offered a new contract by the club that will keep him at the Brit until 2010.
Wilko has broken into the first team this season after hovering around the fringes for the last three seasons. The defensive selection problems after Carl Hoefkens and Danny Higginbotham's departures left vacancies which he has shown that he is quite capable of filling having now made seven first team starts this season.
After a successful loan spell at Blackpool last season, 'Pool had been hoping that they could sign him up on a permanent basis and the news today that Pulis has decided to offer him a two year extension to his current contract that runs out in the summer is welcome news as it gives us some defensive options in the future, should Hill not get offered a new contract next year.
Andy has revealed that the contract is all but finalised and he'd like to be able to sign the extension within the next week.
