Pugh signs on loan for Potters

Whilst all eyes were on Crystal Palace and the possible signing of Leon Cort, the Potters have gone and signed Danny Pugh on loan from Preston.

Pugh had been rumoured to be on his way to the Brit for awhile and this has now been confirmed by the club. He'll join on an initial two month loan, which the club would like to make permanent in January.

Tony Pulis was naturally pleased to have landed his catch after such a long struggle. He told the official site tonight: 'Danny is a left sided player who we have been chasing since the beginning of the season. He is young enough to improve with the team and he is capable of scoring goals.
'I am absolutely delighted to have signed a quality left sided player.'

Is this the start of all Pulis' ducks coming into line after an early season dearth of new signings with all it's attendant false dawns? Stoke fans will be sincerely hoping so.
