Dyer joins the Blades

Dyer joins the Blades

Striker Bruce Dyer has today joined Sheffield United on a free transfer, Stoke City have confirmed.

Dyer joined the Potters at the start of the season on a one year contract and was always considered backup until Bangoura signed at the end of August. Since then he has been out on loan at Millwall, but returned at Christmas.

Dyer will be joining former Potter,31 year old Ade Akinbiyi, who also joined the Blades this week from Burnley for a staggering £1.75m. A good profit on the £600,000 he cost from Stoke under 12 months ago. At the time, Stoke fans considered that a good deal, but he has gone on to prove his worth this season up at Turf Moor, scoring 14 goals.
