Matteo deal done
Dominic Matteo has re-signed for the Potters.
The former Blackburn midfielder joined the Potters on a short term contract in January and has now put pen to paper in a further one year deal.
Matteo has trained with the first team throughout the pre-season period after getting permission from Tony Pulis. He has featured in all the pre-season matches and was understood to be frustrated that the club had not offered him a new deal. With the dearth of midfielders at the Brit, that deal has now been done and he will go into the squad to face Cardiff tomorrow.

Matteo hasn't featured in all pre-season matches. He sat out the Tranmere game. However, despite being picky I think it is a sensible signing to boost the squad. It was clear Dom wanted to come here and we haven't tied ourselves to paying him for more than a year
