Griffin off to Derby?

The Derby Evening Telegraph are reporting that Derby County are ready to sign Andy Griffin after he had long been linked to the Potters.

This has been on the horizon for several weeks as it was clear that Stoke were struggling to come even close to his reported 20k per week salary at Portsmouth.

Derby, as well as being promoted to the Premiership, have the additional advantage of being within easy commuting of Griffin's North Staffordshire home and this will be a huge blow to Tony Pulis' plans for the new season.
