Stoke look for season ticket boost
Stoke City have announced that they have sold over 7,500 season tickets so far for next season.
This is over a 1,000 more than this time last summer and the club are aiming to break the 8,000 barrier by the time of the first home match on August 18th.
The Potters' average gate was up last season to 15,749, a rise of 1,300 on the previous year. This was, no doubt, due to the likes of Lee Hendrie and the good run in the Championship that saw them narrowly miss out on a play-off place.
The club will be hoping that a feel good factor and the hope that there are even better times to come next season will convert into higher attendances. Although fans will want to see new players first as evidence of the club's comittment to the cause which, so far, has been limited to the arrival of Jon Parkin from Hull City.
