Stoke stir the rumour pot
The Stoke City official site have taken the unusual step of publishing their own news article of rumours about the club.
What are we to make of the club propagating rumours about itself and it's transfer targets? Does this confirm that there must be some substance in them or are the club just trying to mislead us (the fans) and other clubs, players and agents?
Rumours will always abound at this time of year when there is little actual hard football news and the media (including Vital Stoke) will want to report those rumours that they feel have some substance (some will even report those where they have none!). But I feel that it is the club's duty to stay above this and report the facts - and let the unofficial sites just stir the rumour pot.
