Will Hendrie stay at Stoke?

Both Coventry City and Sheffield United are reportedly vying with the Potters for Lee Hendrie's signature in the summer.

The Aston Villa midfielder is out of contract in the summer and available on a free transfer under the Bosman rules. We would fancy the Potters to be first in line unless a Premiership club comes calling and we do not get promoted. If the Blades do stay up and we miss out on promotion that may mean that Hendrie travels over the Pennines to ply his trade next season.

Tony Pulis told Radio Stoke today that he does not foresee the club relying on loan players next season and expects several permanent signings during the summer. Certainly, with the change of ownership and manager towards the end of last summer, Stoke missed out on the best summer signings and were forced into making loan signings. This time around we should be far better prepared....
