Rooney to be sent out on loan

Rooney to be sent out on loan

Tony Pulis is hoping that he can get Adam Rooney out on loan to build up his experience, now that Ricardo Fuller is back in the squad and Jon Parkin has joined from Hull.

Pulis has made it clear that he sees a short term loan move as invaluable experience for the younger fringe players.

Fellow striker, Martin Paterson has just arrived back from a very successful loan spell at Grimsby and Pulis is hoping that he can offer the same chance to Rooney before the end of the season: 'The kids will learn away from us. It's different when you've got to go out and perform in front of a group of supporters rather than in reserve football.'
