No Allen Move, Joselu Switch Nears

Manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that midfielder Joe Allen is not for sale, and Joselu's switch to Newcastle United nears with a medical reportedly taking place.

Sky Sports have reported today that sources have again reiterated that Allen will not be moving on with speculated interest from Swansea City.

It's not the first time Stoke have indicated that Allen will be going nowhere this summer, as manager Mark Hughes confirmed the tentative interest and the fact we knocked it back last week.

'My understanding is there was a tentative inquiry and that was it. We rebuffed that, didn't give it any encouragement whatsoever, and that's where we are with that one, not for sale.'

As for Joselu's reported switch to Newcastle, the Chronicle have reported today that Joselu is in Newcastle today to undergo a medical and discuss terms on what they say is a £5million transfer fee.

There could be an announcement on that one within the next 24 or so hours.
