Martins Indi Medical - Chelsea Defender Talks Held?

Martins Indi Medical - Chelsea Defender Talks Held?

Late yesterday evening it was being reported that Stoke City had made progress over Bruno Martins Indi and that talks were due to be held with Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.

Porto defender Martins Indi obviously spent last season out on loan with us, making 37 starting appearances with a return of one goal.

It has long been known that manager Mark Hughes has been hopeful of getting the Dutchman back on a permanent deal and Sky Sports reported last night that their sources understood a fee had now been agreed between both parties for the player.

There's no indication of an upfront fee at this stage, but they do say the deal could potentially rise to around the £13.4million mark.

The 25 year old is said to now be set for a medical and then the deal should progress quite quickly.

In other news Sky were also reporting that Chelsea's Kurt Zouma was now set to hold talks with both Stoke and also West Bromwich Albion about a potential season long loan move.

Sky sources said the 22 year old would hold talks later today (Wednesday) with both parties as he looks to get himself going following an anterior cruciate ligament injury in February 2016.

They say Chelsea manager Antonio Conte would like him to go out on loan and really get himself back into shape following the 13 games he took in last season for them.
