34 Man Squad Named For Swiss Training Camp

34 Man Squad Named For Swiss Training Camp

Stoke have announced a 34 man strong squad heading to Switzerland for a training camp.

Having granted the likes of Xherdan Shaqiri, Geoff Cameron, Joe Allen and Ramadan an extended break this summer they'll be among those returning to first team training as Stoke head to Switzerland today - the Potters fly out from Manchester Airport this afternoon.

During the time in Switzerland the club will compete in the Uhrencup and face Neuchatel Xamax on Monday.

Hughes has already added U23 stars Julien Ngoy and Thibaud Verlinden to the first team squad for the upcoming season but the boss has also included no less than nine academy scholars including U18 Player of the Year Tom Edwards and recent goalkeeping recruit from AFC Wimbledon Joe Bursik.

Glyn Hodges' U23 captain Lewis Banks travels along with Harry Souttar, Ryan Sweeney, Oliver Shenton, Dan Jarvis, Dom Telford and Tyrese Campbell.

Arriving from Hull last week, England U20 international Josh Tymon is, as you would expect, travelling too along with former Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher after the Scots switch from West Brom.

Stoke squad in full:

Butland, Grant, Haugaard, Bursik*, Bardsley, Johnson, Edwards* Shawcross, Wollscheid, Muniesa, Banks*, Souttar*, Sweeney*, Pieters, Tymon, Imbula, Adam, Fletcher, Whelan, Cameron, Allen, Shenton*, Jarvis*, Telford*, Bojan, Arnautovic, Shaqiri, Ramadan, Verlinden, Ngoy, Berahino, Crouch, Diouf, Campbell*.
