Stoke transfer news - 26/01/07

Stoke City have signed 19 year old, Lee Martin on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.

The winger is one of Alex Ferguson's hopeful future stars (along with Ben Foster) and has just returned from a loan spell at Glasgow Rangers where he made ten appearances.

The club have reported that Carl Hoefkens is in talks with Belgium club, FC Bruges after the two clubs agreed a transfer fee (rumoured to be in the region of £345,000). Hoefkens was signed from Germinal in the summer of 2005 and will be missed by fans if he departs in the next week.

Another likely departure is Dave Brammer. The midfielder is surplus to requirements at the Brit and is reportedly talking to several lower league teams, but Crewe Alex have denied that the former Alex captain will be returning to Gresty Road.

Lee Hendrie is still hotly tipped to make a return to the Brit for the remainder of the season.
