Confirmed - Martins Indi Fee Agreed

Bruno Martins Indi has moved closer to joining stoke on a permanent basis after Mark Hughes confirmed a fee has been agreed with his parent club Porto.

Hughes is quoted by Sky Sports as saying an agreement is 'very close' to being signed off.

'There's an agreement in terms of a fee. It's just about making sure Bruno understands where we are going and what our ambitions are and hopefully he'll want to be part of that. I think we are very close.'

Martins Indi has already said he's planning on joining the club on a permanent basis and praised the impact Stoke boss Hughes has had on his career since his arrival at the bet365 Stadium last summer.

This praise was returned to the defender with Hughes adding.

'There's hope on all sides that we get it done. He's played exceptionally every since he walked through the door. It's not easy when you come to a new country and a new level, in my view, compared to where he as playing. He has been able to adapt very quickly and credit to him. He's embraced everything we're about and I hope we get it done. I think we are very close to an agreement.'

'And when it's done I think Bruno can settle and understand where he's going to be in the next few years.'

During this loan spell the 25 year old has made 27 appearances so far for Stoke and is set to face Chelsea this weekend.

The impressive Martins Indi form in recent months has been rewarded at international level as he's been recall to the Dutch squad after Danny Blind named him for the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers with Bulgaria and Italy.
