Who should Stoke be signing?

Who should Stoke be signing?

With the January Sales fast approaching, have your say as to who should be on Tony Pulis' shopping list.

TP has already said the club would like to sign or extend loan deals for Lee Hendrie, Salif Diao and Andy Griffin and have started discussions with their clubs. They are committed to signing Rory Delap and Liam Lawrence from Sunderland. Whether they attempt to extend Patrik Berger's loan deal will probably depend on who arrives in the next couple of weeks.

The manager has said that they are also looking at other players - who do you fancy?

Neil Warnock has said that the Blades are looking to sell several of their promotion winning players who have not made it in the Prem this season. Among them is Ade Akinbiyi - would you fancy seeing him back at the Brit alongside Ricardo Fuller, or has he had his day?
Another option from the Blades' transfer list if Andy Griffin does not return might be former Evertonian, David Unsworth.

Players on the move out of the Britannia will include Luke Chadwick, who cited family reasons when he opted for a loan move closer to his home in Cambridge and joined Norwich. He is expected to sign permanently for the Canaries even though he sustained a leg injury in his first game for his new club and has been on the sidelines ever since.

Kevin Harper will also probably be on his way after his current loan spell at Carlisle United ends as will Sam Bangoura, who seems set on a loan move back to Belgium.

Martin Paterson seems to have been a hit at Grimsby having scored four goals in six appearances and may be on the Mariners' shopping list. Other youngsters that have impressed clubs whilst on loan include Carl Dickinson and Andy Wilkinson who have both had good spells at Blackpool. Dickinson was recalled early as cover for Clint Hill, who replaced Andy Griffin, but has made it known that he has relished the opportunity of regular first team football and may hope that other clubs will come calling.

Would we pay alot for Ade? Sheffield will want to try and get back some of the £1.75m they overpaid Burnley in Jan. I don't think he's worth that much.

Forget Ade - time moves on. Pulis reckons he needs players better than those we have and he's no better than Fuller.

I like Unsworth, he's a player out of the Taggart mould - rather have Griff back though

Pulis still seems to struggle to justify playing the younger lads. Great shame as Dicko, Wilko, Rooney and Pato are all decent players. Would not be surprised to see some of them departing soon. No doubt Pulis junior will be staying though!

So Ade's gone back to Quitterill, no that's one out of the way. Griff is quoted as in regular contact with TP so hopefully that one will work out. Can't see Villa needing Hendrie with all their dollars ready to spend so he'll not be staying there and will only come back to us if the Prem teams don't come calling. Diao is a bit a problem, with a large pay packet to justify. Pato and Pulis jnr are staying at Grimsby for the time being. Any other news out there???
