Sam Bangoura is hoping that Stoke will let him join a Belgium club on loan in the January transfer window.
Sammy has struggled to endear himself to his new manager, Tony Pulis, this season after missing pre-season training. He has now found himself well down the pecking order and his future at Stoke is now surely very limited, but Stoke will be looking to see some return on the club record £950,000 he cost when he was signed by Johan Boskamp from Standard Liege.
Bangoura is hoping that Pulis will let him go out on loan and two Belgium clubs are reportedly interested in taking him - FC Brussels and Charleroi. 'I can get my full value back if I go out on loan because I know I will do well enough for clubs to want to buy me next summer.
Adding: 'It is depressing not being able to play. I will always have respect for Stoke City fans, but if the manager doesn't want me, then I have to leave.'
Bangoura's off the field antics have been a huge disappointment to Stoke fans and well documented. After arriving in September 2005, he had a great start scoring eight goals in his first four months, but then hit rock bottom and only scored one more goal in the rest of the season. This term he has only managed one start.
