Villa to recall Hendrie?

Aston Villa manager, Martin O'Neill has confirmed earlier reports that Villa have a 24 hour recall clause in Lee Hendrie's loan contract and he may consider invoking it.

The midfielder has scored three goals since joining the Potters on a planned three month loan, but the Villa manager has said that he is considering recalling Hendrie early as he has obviously done so well at the Brit: 'We've got an instant recall clause now and I'm much happier about that. He's gone and got fit, and played well, and we are monitoring him closely.'

It would be a big loss if O'Neill did recall Hendrie early just the Potters seem to be starting to click, but this was always the risk if he started to show the form that Villa fans know he is capable of - even if his off the field antics equally annoy them.

Don't panic too much you lads. I don't think MON will recall Lee yet, think he will keep him there getting some games under his belt. Unless we have some injuries at Villa I think he will probably complete his spell there.

He might just get him back though, we could do with some cover in midfield as the winter fixtures kick in and Hendrie might just have a point to prove.

it would be good if this could happen before the hull game if possible............
