Alabi moves to Accrington Stanley on-loan

Academy graduate striker James Alabi has joined League Two side Accrington Stanley on a one month loan deal.

Striker Alabi, 19, made his debut for Stanley in their 1-0 defeat at the weekend against Southend, but is looking forward to learning from former Potters forward James Beattie.

Alabi told The Sentinel:

"Accrington is a good club and the players have been welcoming and James Beattie has been welcoming as well.

'James Beattie was one of the main reasons that I came here because he can work with me and help me a lot with my striking ability.'

The Powerful forward has previously been on loan at Scunthorpe United, Forest Green Rovers and Mansfield and could be in line for a start against Championship side Leeds United in the League Cup tomorrow night.
