Pulis hoping Higginbotham is fit

Tony Pulis has said that he is hoping Danny Higginbotham will be fit for Monday night's televised clash with Coventry.

The defender was taken off at half time during Stoke's 2-1 defeat at Leicester on Tuesday with a thigh strain and is struggling to get fit.

Pulis told the official site: 'He's improving, but only slowly so it will touch and go up to the wire with Danny'.

Having said that, TP has a good backup with Clint Hill regaining full fitness should Higgs fail the late fitness test on Monday.
