Belgian Ngoy tops scholar inductees

Belgian starlet Julien Ngoy tops the list of Stoke`s new scholars.

Ngoy, 16, who has been linked with European heavyweights Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain, had previously been on trial with the Potters last season has now signed a two-year scholarship at Stoke`s Category one academy.

The Belgian forward has previously been at the world renowned Brussels Academy and is already a part of the Belgian under-16 squad. He stands at 6 foot tall and possesses blistering pace.

Brussels academy director Nkandu Ntondo told Sky Sports:

"Julien is a big talent, one of the biggest I have seen in my academy."

Ngoy, along with 10 other youngster have signed up for a scholarship in the Potteries and will now link up with John Perkin`s under-18 squad, which possesses nine second year scholars.

The other 10 scholars are Chris Marques (GK), Josh Williams (DEF), Toby Wells (DEF), Theo Brierley (DEF/MID/FWD), Liam Smith (DEF/MID), Daniel Jarvis (MID), Oliver Shenton (MID), Freddy Yao (MID), Kyren Hamilton (MID) and Thomas Shepard (FWD).
