Odemwingie ko's Begovic's Bosnia

Peter Odemwinigie came out on top in the battle of the Potters at the FIFA World Cup.

The striker scored Nigeria`s only goal after firing past his Stoke teammate Asmir Begovic, to give the African side their first World Cup victory since 1998.

Begovic`s Bosnia, who are in their first ever World Cup, now have no chance of qualifying from Group F after losing their opening game against Argentina.

Former West Brom forward Odemwingie was recalled to the starting line-up against Bosnia after impressing from the bench against Iran in the Group F curtain raiser.

He repaid his managers faith as he calmly slotted the ball through Asmir Begovic`s legs from 8-yards after fantastic work from Emenike on the right wing.

Odemwingie`s Nigeria now sit second in their group and can guarantee qualification with a draw or if Iran don`t better their result. The Super Eagles face Argentina, whilst Iran face Bosnia in the final group games.

As a nice touch, Odemwingie and Begovic swapped shirts at the final whistle to show that there are no hard feelings between the duo.
