Palacios sent off in World Cup defeat

Wilson Palacios was sent off for Honduras in his nations 3-0 opening game defeat of the FIFA World Cup 2014.

Palacios, who received two booking will miss Honduras` next fixture in the competition, after clashing with Juventus` Paul Pogba on two separate occasions.

The second clash also resulted in a penalty which allowed Karim Benzema to open the scoring from the penalty spot.

Honduras, who have failed to score a World Cup goal during their four previous matches, now face a huge task to get out of their group which also includes Switzerland and Ecuador.
