Stoke reignite Riviere interest
Stoke have renewed their interest in Monaco striker Emmanuel Riviere.
The £5 million rated forward is rumoured to be unsettled at the high spending French outfit.
The former France under-21 international scored 10 goals in 30 appearances last season but is rumoured to want out as Monaco are set to flash the cash once more this transfer window.
Mark Hughes previously made waves in trying to bring the French forward to the Potteries but failed in his attempts.
The Welsh gaffer has reignited his interest though and is set to have talks with the forward as he looks to add more fire power to his squad.
Hughes has made no qualms about saying that his main transfer target will be a striker during the off season.
Riviere, who measures in just above 6 feet can play centrally or out wide. He possesses pace, fast feet and strength that could help him to adapt to the English game.
Is it yet to be seen whether Stoke will turn up their pursuit of the striker if they manage to capture Mame Biram Diouf from Hannover.
Either way, Stoke`s early pre-season is heating up nicely on the transfer front.
