Fans Pay The Price?

Stoke chairman Gunnar Por Gislason has indicated that the board might have to increase season ticket prices in order to bring in a much needed increase in revenue.

He states in the annual report that the cut price policies have only proved 'a limited success' adding only around 22 000 or less than 1% of gate receipts.

Within the report he said: 'Cutting season ticket prices as drastically as we did in the spring of 2004 may have increased the number of people attending matches but it did nothing to improve the income stream. This experience must make us think again about our pricing strategy. Perhaps it's time to bring our season ticket prices into line with other clubs in the Championship.'

Don't suppose the players wages could come down as well could they!? No, silly me.
