Ref Watch: Pawson to officiate Stoke v West Ham

Craig Pawson will be the man in charge when Stoke welcome Sam Allardyce`s West Ham United to the Britannia Stadium this weekend.

Pawson has refereed eight times this season handing out 23 yellow cards, at an average of 2.88 cards per game.

The Sheffield & Hallamshire F.A. referee was promoted to the Premier League select group of referee`s this season, and his major achievement of his career so far was refereeing the League Two Play-off final in 2012.

The 34-year-old Sheffield referee has refereed the Potters twice this season, Stoke`s 2-1 victory over Aston Villa at the Britannia Stadium and the Potters 2-2 draw at Southampton. Pawson handed out 10 yellows cards; five to Stoke players over the two games.

Pawson hasn`t officiated West Ham this season.

L Betts and J Brooks are the assistant referees.
