Assaidi wins Newcaslte man of the match poll

Oussama Assaidi has won the Vital Stoke man of the match award for his performance in Stoke`s 5-1 defeat against Newcastle United on Boxing Day at St. James` Park.

The on-loan midfielder was a willing outlet whilst on the pitch, running at Newcastle`s defence time and time again, before smashing in a sublime finish into the top corner after cutting inside from the left wing, leaving Tim Krul with no chance.

The 25-year-old Morrocan won with 50% of the poll vote, beating Jonathan Walters (10%) and Thomas Sorensen (7%) to the award.
