Stoke move midweek fixtures

Stoke have moved their home midweek fixtures from Tuesday nights to Wednesday nights.

The Potters` two scheduled midweek fixtures against Welsh sides Cardiff and Swansea have both been moved on request of new manager Mark Hughes after Premier League approval.

Chief Executive Tony Scholes told the Official website: "We have played our home midweek games on a Tuesday for a number of years but different managers have their own preferences and Wednesday fits in with Mark`s training schedule.

'We asked whether it would be possible to make the change and we`re grateful to the Premier League for approving our application.

'We consulted with Cardiff and Swansea throughout the process and would also like to place on record our thanks for their co-operation.'

The fixtures will now take place at the Britannia Stadium against Cardiff on the 4th December and against Swansea on the 12th February 2014.
