Jerome wins Goal of the Season

Jerome wins Goal of the Season

The Vital Stoke has made its voice heard again and have decided that the 2012/13 Goal of the Season is:

Cameron Jerome`s strike vs. Southampton

The former Birmingham striker won the vote with a huge 89% of the vote, finishing ahead of Jonathan Walters` goal against West Ham United.

Jerome`s strike won him the Vital Stoke accolade after hitting a superb first time shot in off the crossbar from 30+ yards in the last minute of Stoke`s match against Southampton, to make the scores 3-3, in what was an enthralling encounter.

Jerome latched on to Peter Crouch`s wayward first touch and powered the bouncing ball into the net and past Kelvin Davis in the Southampton goal with aplomb.

The goal must surely be contender for the goal of the whole season.

Stay tuned for the next poll, which will continue the Vital Stoke End of Season awards.
