Sidibe set to join Tranmere

Sidibe set to join Tranmere

Mamady Sidibe is set to join promotion chasing Tranmere Rovers on loan.

The striker is set to move to the League One side in an emergency loan, and will join up with Ronnie Moore`s men in time for Tranmere`s trip to Colchester.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis said: "It looks like Mama is going to Tranmere and that's good for him because he needs games and is raring to go."

Sidibe has already enjoyed a loan spell at Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday this season and it seems that Rovers have beat off competition from Championship and League One sides for the Malian`s signature.

This move could spell the end of the 33-year-old`s 8 year stay at the Britannia Stadium, as his current contract runs out at the end of the season.

Sidibe hasn`t played for the Potters since a succession of injuries nearly two-and-half years ago.
