Lund loaned to Southend

Youngster Matty Lund has moved to Southend on loan.

The former Crewe Academy graduate has joined the League Two side on an emergency one month loan deal.

The midfielder has previously spent time at Bristol Rovers this season and will now join the Shrimpers until the 16th March.

Manager Tony Pulis told StokeCityfc.com: "He`s been a great lad and deserves to play."

The 22-year-old has still yet to make a first team appearance for the Potters since his move from Crewe in 2009 and has previously had loan spells at Hereford and Oldham.

Lund has joined up with Paul Sturrock`s promotion chasing side, who currently sit 9th in League Two.
