Seagulls snap up Upson

Seagulls snap up Upson

Matthew Upson has joined Brighton and Hove Albion on loan until the end of the season.

The 33-year-old centre half will join up with Gustavo Poyet`s promotion chasing side at the Falmer Stadium to help push the Seagull`s promotion challenge.

Brighton are currently 7th in the Championship, 5 points off the play-off spots.

Upson has only made one appearance for the Potters this season, in Stoke`s 3-3 draw on 29th December.

The former England international defender joined the Potters in 2011 on a free transfer from West Ham Utd.
