Possible 2011 cup final repeat for Stoke

Possible 2011 cup final repeat for Stoke

If Stoke overcome their replay against Crystal Palace, then the Potters will face Manchester City at Britannia Stadium in a replay of the 2011 Final in the 4th Round of the F.A. Cup.

Manchester City beat Watford 3-0 in the 3rd Round and are currently sitting 2nd in the Premier League.

Stoke and Manchester City also played in the 5th Round of the F.A. Cup in 2010 when Stoke won the replay 3-1 after extra time at the Britannia Stadium after a 1-1 draw at the Ethihad.

Since Stoke were promoted in 2007, Manchester City have failed to win at Britannia Stadium in the F.A. Cup or the Premier League.

The Potters have a good recent record in the F.A. Cup, having at least qualified for the Quarter Finals in the past three seasons.

Last year Tony Pulis` men were knocked out by eventful finalist Liverpool at Anfield, whilst the season before they were runners-up losing to possible 4th round opponents Manchester City in the final at Wembley.

The tie will be played over the weekend of 26th and 27th January.
