Shawcross is not for sale
Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross is not for sale according to Stoke Manager Tony Pulis.
Pulis has issued the warning after several rumours stating that the centre half`s future is away from the Britannia Stadium.
Even former manager Sir Alex Ferguson wrote in his programme notes that he wished that he had not let Shawcross make his move permanent to Stoke back in 2008.
Pulis told BBC sport after suggestions Shawcross could be leaving the Britannia Stadium: "No chance. It has been a good marriage.
'Ryan is our captain, he is only just 25
'We won't see the best of him for another two or three years.'
The 25-year-old recently received his second call up to the England squad but has still not made his international bow.
Manchester United manager Ferguson admitted he only allowed Shawcross to leave because he had such a good bunch of youngsters coming through at the same time.
He wrote in the Manchester United official programme before his team`s 4-2 victory over Stoke: 'We had Jonny Evans, Gerard Pique, Ryan Shawcross, Craig Cathcart, and Paul McShane, and something had to give.
'We made the right decision keeping Jonny Evans but I'm not so sure about letting Shawcross join Stoke.'
