Dynamo Kiev left back Goran Popov has moved to Stoke City on a season long loan.
Popov impressed Stoke manager Tony Pulis in the Europa League last season as the Macedonian international played both ties over the Potters and even grabbed the assist for Kiev`s equaliser in the away tie.
"He really impressed me, he's a good player with a great left foot and I think he will go well for us." said Pulis.
The 27-year old, who can play anywhere on the left will be available for Stoke`s opening Premier League fixture against Reading at the Madjeski on Saturday (18th August).
He will join up with his new teammates including other new additions: Jamie Ness, Geoff Cameron and Michael Kightly after he has a chance to make his 42nd cap for Macedonia on Tuesday which has annoyed Stoke gaffer Pulis.
The Welsh supreme said: "The problem we've got is that he's going to come and sign on Monday, then he's off playing for Macedonia on Tuesday.
'He should be fit because he's been playing in the Europa League already this season.
'He played against Feyenoord and I had him watched. I've also watched the tape and he did very well."
Popov, who stands at 6ft 2, could be finally be the answer to Stoke`s everlasting left back problem, and will bring a wealth of experience to the Britannia having also played in Greece and Holland.
