Lund rejoins Bristol Rovers

Stoke youngster Matthew Lund has rejoined League Two Bristol Rovers on a 6 month loan.

The 21 year old has been training with the League Two outfit all pre-season but has now penned a deal which will see him play at the Memorial Stadium for the first half of the season.

Lund had a successful spell at Bristol Rovers last season making 13 appearances and scoring 2 goals for Mark McGhee`s side.

The Northern Ireland Under-21 international is happy to back at Rovers, he told bristolrovers.co.uk: 'I am looking forward to getting started, I missed the place and I am pleased to be back.

'I spoke to the manager and Northy, and I really wanted to come back and play, and hopefully we can keep the run of form we had towards the end of last season.'

Lund came through the Crewe academy before moving to Stoke in 2009.

Whilst at the Britannia Stadium he has had loan spells at Hereford and Oldham.
