Stoke City target £20 million relegated trio

Stoke City manager Tony Pulis looks to add to his squad with the addition of three players that were relegated last season from the Premier League, that could cost up to £20 million.

Welsh supremo Pulis looks to raid Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanders, for duo Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher whilst also bringing in Martin Olsson from Lancashire outfit Blackburn Rovers.

Winger Matt Jarvis and forward Steven Fletcher could cost Stoke chairmen Peter Coates in the region of £17 million to bring the duo the Britannia Stadium.

Matt Jarvis, 26, can play on either flank and has made 162 appearances, scoring 19 goals for Wolves since he left Gillingham in 2007. If purchased Jarvis could challenge both Matthew Etherington and Jermaine Pennant in the wide births.

Scottish striker Fletcher, 25, has scored 22 goals in 61 appearances for Wolves and has been capped by Scotland 8 times. He moved in a club record transfer from Burnley for £7 million in 2010. Fletcher has a good presence in the air and would fit in well with Stoke`s direct style of play.

Pulis is also looking to strengthen the troublesome left back position by bringing in Martin Olsson from Blackburn Rovers with the fee rumoured to be around the £3 million mark.

Olsson, 24, is a Swedish international who played in all 3 of Sweden`s Euro 2012 matches and can play either at left back or left wing.

The Stoke manager has a history of buying players from relegated sides as he purchased Dave Kitson and Ibrahima Sonko from Reading, whilst bringing in Tuncay Sanli and Robert Huth from Middlesbrough, Cameron Jerome from Birmingham and Matthew Upson from West Ham United over the years with mixed fortunes.
