Stoke to offer Bendtner Premier league Lifeline

Stoke are interested in signing Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, according to the Daily Mail.

The 23-year-old has been in and out of the North London side for a long time and has been subject of a £9 million bid from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, but the Potters are hoping first team football in the Premiership will sway his decision.

The Denmark International is apparently on £52k a week, so he would have to take a substantial pay cut to join Stoke; and let`s not forget this, he probably thinks he is good enough to play for Barcelona.

Young, talented, and certainly not short of confidence, there`s no doubt he`d be a big coup after spending many years under Wenger`s guidance, but I think he`ll believe a bigger move is possible.

Would Nicklas Bendtner take a pay cut to join Stoke City? That is the question.

According to Skysports.com, the Potters are also enquiring about Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton who is now available on a free transfer.

Arsenal,Spurs and Manchester United have all been credited with interest, with his agent stating top clubs from all around Europe are scrambling for his signature. Certainly worth enquiring about, but will he rebuff their advances in favour of a move to Stoke?

Bendtner would be an incredible addition to the squad. Not just because his 6”5’ height which would fit perfectly with our notably tall squad, but also because he has fantastic skill on the ball that allows him to exhaust markers whilst challenging defenders and goalkeepers. He can certainly score a handful and score them with expert precision and flair. An investment in a quality, young player such as Bendtner would do the club good and I would be ecstatic if he signed, even if he is from Arsenal.

he has the ego size of roughly about 6"5'. he thinks he is the best player in the world and reckons he should be playing for Barca... I can't see it myself
