From Vital England:
Players that have been on the fridges of England call-ups in the past, or slipped out of the squad for whatever reason always 'eye' a recall when they move clubs.
Nigel Reo-Coker, and shortly before this, Jonathan Woodgate - although to be fair I think it was more his new manager saying this than him - are 'targeting' exactly the same thing following summer moves...
The one that has more chance though is Woodgate.
Although this chance would only even be anywhere near possible 'if' he can stay injury free...
Given Woodgate's injury record over the years that will be easier said than done!
The likelihood of the former Spurs man managing to do this now that he has moved to Stoke has to, when you take his track record into account, be slim but if he can stay fit he would have every chance as I believe that he is among the best central defenders in the country.
Who knows what he could have achieved had injuries not been so cruel to him in the past, although will they be kinder in the future?
