Who Should We Sign? - Poll Results

There are rumours and all sorts flying around the Premier League, and we`ve had our fair share of links with players from various walks of life, and runs of the pitch. But who do you think we should sign out of the players we suggested? Here are the results:

Carlton Cole - 11%
Liam Ridgewell - 0%
Youseff El Arabi - 17%
Erik Huseklepp - 5%
David N`Gog - 2%
Sebastian Larsson - 5%
Cameron Jerome - 3%
Charlie Adam - 6%
Joe Cole - 7%
Mark Noble - 5%
Craig Gardner - 1%
Shaun Wright-Phillips - 2%
Jermaine Defoe - 35%
Nile Ranger - 1%

Looks like the majority say Jermaine Defoe! Well to be fair, he is the most recognised, best quality in that list, as he certainly knows how to find the net. Stoke need another player who can stick them in, and this little gem can get up for the headers as well as use his feet. The big question is, would he come to Stoke? Would someone who has played for strong squads and receive big wages step down to a club like us? Being bias I would say that it wasn`t such a bad thing as Stoke are an up and coming side that are improving every year, but footballers don`t think like that. Their career is more important than good PR and supporting the so called underdogs, of which we have been deemed on numerous occasions.

The right choice there, but a couple of them players could still come over i.e. Arabi and Cole in my eyes

Defoe wouldn't fit into our squad well. Yeah he's a good player and everything, but he's small and used to recieveing the ball at his feet, so our direct approach wouldn't bring the best out of him. Plus he'd demand stupid wages. Get someone taller and younger in my opinion
