Ryan Shawcross is a talented young defender who has had some cracking seasons for us since he joined from Sir Alex Heart-Attack-Pink-Faced-Ferguson`s Red Devils. He is certainly one with a bright future, so has been attracting attention from other clubs of late, one of which being Tottenham. At least someone has their eye on him I suppose, unlike Mr. Capello!
But the question we asked you was; 'Should Shawcross stay`? Is he too important of an asset to the club to leave, or if to say we were to have Sebastien Bassong as part of the deal, would we be able to cope without him? You`ve certainly voted in your numbers on this one, and so here are the results:
YES!! Don't go Ryan! - 64%
No. We can survive - 30%
Not sure - 6%
Well it looks like the majority have spoken and said that he must stay! Of course he should, he`s a great leader and partners up well with the Berlin Wall Robert Huth. Always goes up for the corners to add that extra lanky man in the box, and doesn`t half make up the ground if a counter-attack from the opposition floods towards our half.
He does have much to learn, but give him a break he`s pretty young. In time, he`ll develop from a great player, to a legendary player, but the big question that only Tony Pulis can answer is; would that time of development be with us at Stoke?
